Delving into the intersection of digital innovation and global health, the World Health Summit Side Event on Research on Digital Solutions, organized by the Global Digital Health Lab at Charité Center for Global Health, marked a significant gathering on October 18, 2023.

Hosted at the Berlin Institute of Health Digital Labs, the event convened academics, policymakers, and industry experts to explore the transformative impact of digital transformation and artificial intelligence in healthcare.

The agenda included an informal standing lunch, opening remarks by Beate Kampmann, Director of Charité Center for Global Health, and an insightful keynote from Till Bärnighausen, Director of the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health.

Case examples presented brief talks on research projects focused on digital solutions in global health, setting the stage for a robust panel and audience discussion moderated by Christoph Benn, Director Global Health Diplomacy at The Joep Lange Institute. The esteemed panelists, including Jai Ganesh Udayasankaran, Inke Mathauer, Andrea Winkler, and Thomas Wiegand, provided diverse perspectives on the subject.

The event concluded with a networking session and coffee, offering a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.
